今天天气又变得糟糕了，下起了雨，这样对比来看，我还是很喜欢晴天的。今天早上半天是没课的，但是睡到9点也就起床了。睡得太久也不好，这个时候起床刚好能保证今天一天的精神状态。想着坐在寝室里也没事干，就拿出我记录英语句子的本子，把今天的打卡给完成了。尽早完成打卡任务，对我来说是一个很合理的安排。在时间最充裕的时候完成任务，才能保证质量。原来觉得一天背100个新单词很多，但是现在觉得也还能接受。人的适应性还是很强的。

下午的课是操作系统，今天感觉自己可以听进去一些了。我猜想应该是内心变得沉稳了一些，没有像以前那么浮躁了，似乎有了一种高中听课的感觉，我觉得这都要得益于我最近有计划的学习。

晚上在寝室里看了会视频之后，还是出门了，尽管还是一个雨天。但是想想一个人撑着伞在雨中练习口语，也许也是个不错的主意。所以我又翻出了题库，然后一道一道来看，继续打磨我蹩脚的口语。

The weather turned awful again today—it started pouring. All things considered, I definitely prefer sunny days.

I had no classes this morning, but I still got up at 9. Sleeping in too late never does me any good, and waking up at this time is perfect for keeping me energized all day. I figured there was nothing to do just sitting around in the dorm, so I pulled out my notebook for English sentences and finished my daily study check-in. Getting the check-in out of the way early is such a smart move for me. You can only do a solid job on something when you’ve got plenty of time to focus on it. I used to think memorizing 100 new words a day was way too much, but now it’s totally doable. People really are incredibly adaptable.

I had my Operating Systems class in the afternoon, and I actually managed to follow along with the lecture for once. I think it’s because I’ve become a lot more grounded lately, not as scattered and restless as I used to be. It even felt like I was back in high school, fully locked in during class. I totally owe this to sticking to my structured study routine these days.

In the evening, after watching some videos in the dorm, I ended up heading out anyway, even though it was still raining. I thought to myself, maybe practicing my spoken English alone in the rain with an umbrella isn’t such a bad idea. So I pulled out my question bank again, went through each prompt one by one, and kept working on my wonky spoken English.
