Personally, I've always felt that life at home is totally different from life at university. Ever since I got home, everything feels like it's shifted.
I remember back at school, I always had this inner drive pushing me forward, keeping me on check to hit my daily goals. To be honest, I have no idea where that drive even came from. but as soon as I got home, it's like I lost all my motivation to keep practicing or work on things that matter for my future. All I wanted to do was lie in bed, play table tennis, shoot some pool, watch movies and shows, just entertain myself. I don't want to lie, all of that is fun and relaxing, but it does absolutely nothing for my academic growth. That's why this huge wave of anxiety and dread has been hanging over me.
On the top of that, being home means dealing with endless external pressure. There is my mom's constant checking in, my own urge to just have fun, and this underlying anxiety about learning something useful. All these conflicting feelings have left me completely overwhelmed. So, I've been trying to strike a balance between studying and relaxing, and avoid butting heads with my parents.
